New Art/Utility In Fremont Identified!

'Within Reach,' a sculpture by Troy Pillow, and installed by Kilroy Realty

Thanks to Jenn Seva, of Groundspeak, for identifying the newest public art in Fremont – as well as one of the most beautiful of all bike racks!

Located at the western edge of Solstice Plaza, the piece entitled ‘Within Reach’ by Troy Pillow was installed by Kilroy Realty on ‘Bike To Work Day,’ May 17, 2013.  It is a whimsical, colorful piece of art that is also a bike rack, with working lighting.

Visit the artist’s website for more information on his work, or stroll down to Solstice Plaza (behind the ‘People Waiting for the Interurban’ by Rich Beyer and ‘Late for the Interurban’ by Kevin Pettelle,) to admire this newest piece of public art for the Center of the Universe.

Definitely visit on Saturday, August 17th, to enjoy the Geocaching Block Party while checking out the art…
