For 5 weeks, this community has a chance to help save a local theater.  Stone Soup Theatre needs to raise $5,000 to cover a 40% raise in rent and rental taxes, to continue its mission to bring one-act plays to audiences as well as providing a venue for other independent, small work theater companies.

Using Indiegogo, Stone Soup will give prizes like Flex passes, theater seat naming rights, and Tutta Bella dinners to those who donate.  Also through Indiegogo, generous donors can see videos and photos about the important works Stone Soup makes possible.

Stone Soup specializes in providing interesting and unusual works, at an affordable price.  In 1996, Maureen Miko started this small, neighborhood-oriented professional theatre.  The theater takes its name and spirit from a children’s story about community contributing to a feast, and the sum being greater than its parts.

Help further this effort to keep theater in Fremont with your contribution, small or large, to this modest fundraiser.

Find more about the theater on Facebook, Twitter, or the Stone Soup website – and find more about the fundraiser on Indiegogo.  And thank you!
