On Sunday, November 3rd, at 2a, clocks in Washington State (and over most of the United States of America) will be set back one hour – to mark the end of Daylight Saving Time.
Since 1916, clocks in many countries – primarily in the Northern Hemisphere – began changing their clocks in the spring and fall to make better use of daylight hours, and save the use of artificial light. In the fall, we change our clocks back to standard time, and gain an hour of time in the process.
We gain an hour this weekend, and lose an hour in the spring on Sunday, March 9th, 2014. Enjoy it!!
