On March 3rd, FremontUniverse.com reported on the pending closure of Sound Mind & Body Gym at the end of this month.
According to the piece by FremontUniverse.com editor, Cara Kuhlman, a statement by co-owner Vickie Harrington read, in part, “We thank the community and our customers for all their support and past business. Our club has been more than just a “gym” and is very unique and special both to the members and the staff.” After 29 years in Fremont, SM&B is a part of the history of the Center of the Universe, and many people have reason to feel an emotional connection to this end of an era.
