Here, hold this! The Artland Farm ensemble needs volunteers to finish assembling pieces for this much anticipated entry, celebrating locally grown food and home grown art, for the Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade on Saturday, June 21st, at 3p.
Please stop by the Fremont Arts Council parade workshop, The Powerhouse (3940 Fremont Avenue N – you know, the place with the fences and streamers!) and lend a hand. Volunteers are most needed on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17th & 18th, to build a large cornucopia for the float.
A sewer, hauler, painters, hat decorator, costume cutter – and generally anyone with a free hand and an urge to get involved – is needed, and will be gratefully appreciated.
Even if you want to spend the Solstice Parade watching instead of participating, think about the joy of you (and your children) can experience when the Artland Farm ensemble trundles by and you say, ‘I did that!’
For more information, stop by the Powerhouse at any time and offer a hand!
