A Fire In An ASKO Processing Building

Today, September 30th, in the afternoon a fire broke out in one of the buildings of the Asko Processing company.  The Seattle Fire Department responded quickly to what they’ve called a two-alarm blaze.  Early reports are that there were no serious injuries among Asko Processing employees, although it appears that the one building will be a complete loss, along with all of its contents.

It is too early to determine the cause of the fire.  It is to be hoped, however, that Asko, which has been a major employer in Fremont since 1970, will not be decided by this terrible accident.
