On Monday, October 20th, at 7p, the Play Factory (formerly Playwright’s Theatre) will present a dramatic reading of ‘Redeem Me In A River’s Dream’ by Margaret Landry at DownStage Theatre.
‘Redeem Me…’ is a play set in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter, where Madame Adelaide, a voodoo priestess, is looking for redemption from the overriding guilt over the loss of her daughter in the great Red River Parish flood. Through possession, and the help of ‘The Shadowman’, Madame Adelaide is brought to closure and redemption.
Attendance at this theatrical reading, and the feedback session following, is pay-what-you-will. Seating is limited, so arrive early for this opportunity to participate in listening to and then a brief discussion of this work.
