On Saturday, June 6th at 7p, Victory Music will hold its Spring Originals fundraiser at Stone Way Café. This two-hour, all-acoustic concert features professional solo, duo and combo musical acts, for the entertainment and enjoyment of all music lovers.
The non-profit Victory Music supports live, acoustic music, and musicians, with performances staged around our area, fulfilling its mission to create a supportive, listening atmosphere for willing audiences. The featured acts at this Spring Originals concert include:
- Alice Howe – a singer/songwriter, and storyteller, whose roots are in classic, emotive folk music
- Jacob Greenleaf – a folk/jazzist offering ‘insightful, deeply personal songs of discovery, recovery, relationship and personal growth’ in a smooth, warm baritone
- Humor & Heart – the duo of Mark Iler and Jess McKeegan play ‘everything from old pop and rock and folk classics to Celtic tunes and sea shanties’
- Burgundy Pearl – an acoustic trio featuring the talents of Ron Dalton, Peggy Sullivan and Robin McGillveray interweaves harmonies and from old-time blues to contemporary folk, all with swing/jazz overtones
- Silver Lining – the eclectic singer/songwriter duo of Paul Sandoval and Kathe Davis, with John Gustaveson on bass
The cover charge for this concert is $10, $8 for Victory Music members. An all-ages, family-friendly venue, the Stone Way Caféoffers a grill menu along with snacks, beer and wine – and a superb, comfortable place for an evening of quality, acoustic music, to benefit Victory Music.
