This summer, Seattle Public Library (SPL) in partnership with Seattle Arts & Lectures (SAL) offers a Book Bingo for Adults – a reading program where participants can win prizes.
Pick up a Book Bingo card from any location of the SPL system, or print one on-line, and start reading. Filling the boxes on the bingo card with a variety of book styles – local author, translated from another language, banned books, a favorite location, poetry, etc. – then participants will mark off squares as they complete books in each category.
When an entire row, or all 25 squares, get marked out, completed Book Bingo cards to any library location, or mail it to Seattle Arts & Lectures, 205 S. Findlay St, Seattle, WA 98108. The deadline for entries is 5p on September 8th.
Those who complete all 25 squares will be entered in a random drawing for the grand prize: a library of books by 2015-16 SAL authors and two passes for All SAL in the 2015-16 season. Complete a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line to be entered in a random drawing to win a $30 gift card to one of 10 independent bookstores: Ada’s Technical Books, Elliott Bay Book Co., Magnolia’s Bookstore, Open Books: A Poem Emporium, Phinney Books, Queen Anne Book Co., Secret Garden Books, Third Place Books, University Books Store or Wide World Books & Maps.
For help filling out a bingo card, visit a library branch or fill out a brief form on-line at SPL and one of Seattle’s expert librarians will recommend a personalized list of five books.
