An open invitation has been issued by Northwest Folklife to musicians, dancers, community groups, artists, storytellers, and instructors, to become participants in the 45th annual folk arts festival, held over Memorial Day weekend, May 27th – 30th, 2016.
The signature Northwest Folklife Festival attracts roughly a quarter million attendees from all over the world, showcasing to these enthusiastic audiences over 5,000 performers from over 65 cultural groups on over 25 stages. Performers, based in Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon, Western Montana and Washington state, are encouraged to submit applications to participate at the 2016 festival.
