By November 3rd, Seattle voters will be choosing two at-large City Councilmembers – to serve alongside seven Councilmembers chosen from seven districts of our city. The four candidates running for two positions will be appearing in a public debate at 5p at the Seattle Central Library on Wednesday, October 14th.
The debate, being conducted by Town Hall and Seattle City Club, will be filmed for Seattle Channel and moderated by C.R. Douglas. Featured will be:
- Councilmember Tim Burgess, for position #8
- Jonathan A. Grant, for position #8
- Bill Bradburd, for position #9
- Lorena Gonzalez, for position #9
Those who want to attend need to pre-register, on-line. These candidates are running to represent our city as a whole – and will be up for re-election in two years.
Unfortunately, this debate is scheduled for the same evening as another debate, between candidates for Seattle City Council District #4. On Wednesday, October 14th at 7p in the Good Shepherd Center Chapel, candidates Michael Maddux and Rob Johnson will answer questions about their campaigns, and their qualifications to represent the citizens of Wallingford, Ravenna, Eastlake, Sandpoint, University District and East Fremont.
