Help make Community Art on Nov 4th, and celebrate 10 Years of Fremont Abbey Arts.
Help make Community Art on Nov 4th, and celebrate 10 Years of Fremont Abbey Arts.

Next Wednesday, November 4th, Fremonsters have a hard decision to make – are you a crafter, or a cyclist?  Do you want to create art for a great cause, or help our community decide the safest path through Fremont between Wallingford or Ballard?

On Wednesday, November 4th, from 7p – 9:30p, in the second of ten events celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, join others in our community creating art to be given to Patrick Place Apartments and its residents.  Bethany Foelber will host and facilitate the art making party, by participants of all ages, in this community gathering.  The art, and cards, made will be given to the low-income housing building for previously chronically homeless folks, just opened on Aurora.  Find more information on the Facebook event page for this free Community Art Making Party at the Fremont Abbey.

Or, on Wednesday, November 4th, from 6:30p – 8:30p, at Stone Way Café, join the members of the newly re-formed Fremont Greenways in the first public brainstorming meeting to choose the path of the Greenway through Fremont.  If you want to pick your favorite route, or give input on routes particularly difficult, dangerous or best avoided, this is the meeting to attend.  The Fremont Greenway will be a safe path of streets, connecting Greenways in Wallingford & Ballard, for cyclists of all ages, as well as pedestrians and other alternative transportation modalities.  Come to this meeting to find out more about Greenways, and ways to help decide the path through Fremont.  Find out more about Greenways through the Seattle Neighborhood Greenways website, and about this meeting on the Fremont Greenways Facebook page.
