On Monday, December 21st only, at 7:30p, the Christmas B-Sides & Rarities returns to West of Lenin (WofL) for its annual dark and bluesy take on the yuletide. A partner project of the 14/48 Projects, this live theater, musical variety show celebrates the season as an occasionally cynical, often funny antidote to the traditionally, relentlessly commercialized Christmas fare.
The tentative line-up of entertainment includes:
- short plays by Rob MacGregor, Rod Tipton, and Jaryl Draper
- stand-up comedy with Mary Morrison
- some ‘The Lion In Winter’ from Christine & Lyam White
- magical, maniacal storytelling from Jennifer Jasper
- stories (and more) from Paul Mullin, Scot Augustson, and Cody Smith
- musical mayhem from The Jolly Hollies (Kathie Whithall, Peggy Gannon, Aimee Zoe and Moe Provencher)
- weird wondrousness from John McKenna
Expect surprises, and changes in the artist line-up. This is a chance to see some of Seattle’s greatest artists getting creative and playing together – in Fremont! Purchase tickets now, through Brown Paper Tickets, for this one-night-only Christmas celebration, in the intimate setting of West of Lenin.
