- On Fat Tuesday, Feb 9th, the Mardi Gras Extravaganza features a return to Fremont of Marmalade (formerly house band for Tost, and then for High Dive,) accompanied by The Cumbieros holding a reunion show, and FAC Solstice Parade and Trolloween favorites, VamoLa Brazilian Drum & Dance. - On Ash Wednesday, Feb 10th, Mardi Gras continues at Nectar with the Grateful Dead-Inspired Terrapin Flyer and The Merry Pranksters.
Terrapin flyer features a revolving line-up of some of the country’s best musicians, including Melvin Seals and Mark Karan. The Merry Pranksters provide ‘an interactive visual and auditory psychedelic experience,’ in full regalia, as they celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Further Bus Trip. Purchase tickets, $15 in advance/ $20 at the door, on the Nectar website.
On Thursday, February 11th, enjoy good music and good beer, for a good cause, for free! The Ninkasi HellesYes! Tour is bringing funk music and Ninkasi beer specials to Nectar – with a portion of sales of Ninkasi pints benefitting the School of Rock. Come hear Vokab Kompany, The Quick & Easy Boys and DBST, at this no cover show!
