On April 8th, the B.F. Day Elementary School will hold its annual Walk & Roll Fundraiser. This walk-a-thon engages all the kids in a fun, physical activity while raising money for the school through the P.T.S.A.
On April 8th, the kids will walk a set path, about 1/6th of a mile, on the Upper Playfields. They will do as many laps as they want in approximately 40 minutes, and collect sponsorships from family and friends to fund them.
For example – if grandma wants to pledge .50 per lap, and Junior walks 10 laps, grandma writes a check for $5. If uncle wants to simply pay $20, he can do that too.
If you don’t have a kid at B.F. Day, but still want to give – and sponsor a child who might not have family/friends to ask – contact kanderson11@comcast.net or visit the B.F. Day PTSA website and donate!
In 2015, Walk & Roll raised $17,000 for the PTSA – about 23% of the annual budget. Please consider contributing towards that effort for the kids, their parents and the PTSA, to support our school!
