ReAct Theatre has returned to West of Lenin to bring us Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Annie Baker’s ‘The Aliens’, with performances running Fridays – Sundays through July 24th. Directed by David Hsieh, check out this production of an Obie Award-winning play called, “the best of 2010,” in the New York Times.
In ‘The Aliens’, a pair of society’s misfits spend their days, behind a Vermont coffee shop, singing songs, writing novels and lamenting past loves. When a young barista asks them to leave, the duo initiates him in the ways of the world, the writings of Bukowski, and about the true worth of life.
This captivating comedic drama focuses on friendship, art, loss and the greatness within, and features the diverse talents of Alan E. Garcia, Curtis Gehlhausen and Cooper Harris-Turner. The Seattle Premiere of ‘The Aliens’ also features original music and lyrics by Michael Chernus, Patch Darragh and Erin Gann.
