On Thursday, November 14th, from 1p – 3:30p, artist, and Wallingford Community Senior Center (WCSC) member, Cynthia Yatchman will lead a class in ‘Realistic vs Abstract Watercolors’.

Those interested in self-expression with a brush can take part in this fun, informative and stress-free, beginner-level workshop in basic watercolor techniques.  Achieve realistic results with the classic techniques of wet-on-wet, dry brush, scumbling, and more.  Yatchman will also share a variety of experimental watercolor tricks for abstract results, and allow attendees to try them out.  Play with the use of salt, alcohol, and Saranwrap.

Attendees will be able to return home with one or two beautiful watercolor greeting cards.  All materials will be provided, but the ‘Mix & Match Art’ classes at the Wallingford Community Senior Center are open to only a limited number of people.  The cost is $10 for WCSC member, and $15 to the public, and an advance registration is required.  Click here to register – and for more information.
