On Friday, March 6th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk returns to bring art and culture to anyone and everyone interested in being enlightened and engaged with art and artists!

The Fremont First Friday Art Walk has a website with a list of venue to visit and explore, but be sure to check out:

  • Down Under Gallery – One of the earliest photographers of the Fremont Solstice Parade, and other iconic Fremont events, Michelle Bates is also known, world-wide, for her expertise in use of the Holga Toy Camera. Stop by, Down Under, to see these incredible images and talk with Bates about how she uses a plastic camera to create such indelible images from elements we see every day in nature.
Stop by and say hello!
  • Friday Afternoon Tea – Enjoy a menagerie of beasties from Ryan Henry Ward and Zan Edson, frolicking together in a merry mess of color and creativity. Find out more on the Facebook event page.
  • Frame Up Studios – Send chills down your spine with the magnificent and bold works of John Hunter. With paintings that both thrill and provoke, this young genius creates images that seem effortless, with visuals amorphous and purposeful.
See the mix of a merry menagerie at Friday Afternoon Tea with the works of Zan Edson and Ryan Ward.
  • Portage Bay Goods – Stop by the thoughtful procrastinator’s gift shop to see the ‘quality graphic goods’ of Factory43. From Skateboarding Bear to pipe smoking Sardines, Factory43 provides all the images you require to get through your day, and PBG will have their most creative items on display for the Art Walk.

After a dark and wet winter, the Fremont Art Walk is a great way to leap forward into spring with the bright colors and creative inspirations of original art.  Meet the artists and your neighbors as you stroll our community on Friday, Mar 6th from 6p – 9p.  This FREE and all-ages night-out is ideal for stopping by on your way elsewhere, or making a night of it!

See you there!
