Right now, pouring in the Hale’s Ales Taproom, this creative, local brewery has two new beers on tap.

  • White Stout – This newer, niche stout is a blonde with some haze caused by large amounts of oats and wheat, that impart body and silky mouthfeel present in most stouts. Hale’s has employed an English strain of yeast to bump up the malt profile, and eliminated the roasted barley to remove the stout’s traditional, and iconic, black color.  The roasted flavor of stout is achieved with the addition of coffee and cocoa nibs during fermentation.  The resulting White Stout is a trick of the mind – a blonde to the eye but a stout to the taste.
  • Seattle Fog – This opaque, black, silky smooth porter is infused with Earl Grey tea creating flavors of lemon, lime, and orange. Winner of the people’s choice award at the recent Winter Beer Festival in Seattle, the Seattle Fog reminds brewers of Trix cereal.
The Brewers at Hale’s wish everyone ‘Happy Holidays’, and fine beverages!

In addition to these two new brews, visitors to the Hale’s Taproom can find two limited-release, hand-bottled, and wax-sealed aged beers – ideal gifts for beer lovers:  Wakefield Tower (an imperial stout aged in barrels with organic cherries,) and Traitor’s Gate (an imperial saison aged for two years in Woodinville whiskey barrels and finished with organic cherries.)  At Idiot’s Grace Farm, the Hale’s team picked over 200 pounds of organic cherries that were a mix of bing, royal anne, and van, and blended them with these exclusive beers.

Hale’s has plenty more brewing!  Follow the brewers on Instagram or Facebook to see what they are creating next!  Find out more about Hale’s on the website (click here.)
