High Dive Launches First Virtual Concert As Nectar Streams #5

Support Fremont nightlife while enjoying a virtual concert from the comfort of…wherever!

On Saturday, April 18th, at 10:30a, High Dive will launch the first of its Virtual Concert Series, led by the fifth in the Nectar Virtual Concert Series on Friday, April 17th, from 8p – 10p.  Both concerts not only provide an opportunity for local musicians to reach audiences, but are also fundraisers for the artists and venues as they struggle under the COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions.

The first live stream concert for High Dive will feature Lindstrom & The Limit for an Acoustic Brunch.  Start your morning with a healthy dose of roots/rock/soul music played live from a local fav, who just released their debut album last October.  The concert is a fundraiser for the band, the out-of-work staff at High Dive, and to cover costs to keep the High Dive operational during the COVID-19 shutdown.  This is a ‘Pay-What-You-Will’ live stream, and viewers are asked to contribute what they can, but a $10 donation is requested.  The concert will be on, at 10:30a, the High Dive YouTube Channel (click here,) but contributors can pay via PayPal or by purchasing a ‘ticket’ through EventBrite.

Start Saturday with an Acoustic Brunch of Lindstrom & The Limit!

The Nectar Virtual Concert on Friday, Apr 17th, features Perfect By Tomorrow, a rock band from Bellingham.  This musical melting pot of genres will caress the soul as if in zero gravity, and blend your favorite flavors of sounds into a simple song.  The Virtual Concert is another fundraiser to support the band, the staff of Nectar, and the venue, and it can be seen on the Nectar YouTube Channel (click here.)  Like the High Dive event, a donation of $10 (or more,) can be made through PayPal, or by registering on EventBrite (click here.)

Purchase a gift card for use on your bar tab when Nectar gets open again!

Both Nectar and High Dive have a GoFundMe campaign, to raise money for the hard-working staff, with 100% of proceeds to go directly to laid-off workers.  Visit the Official GoFundMe page for more information, and to see the generosity of the community around these live music venues.  Another way to support these spaces is by buying a Nectar Bar Gift Card, to allow you to pay your tab at future shows.

The closures caused by COVID-19 have hit all businesses hard, but our nightlife venues were among the first shut-down and from the discussions of phased re-opening, they may be the last to be allowed to reopen.  While our neighbors at High Dive and Nectar want to make sure everyone, especially their community, stay safe, they’ve teamed up with a coalition of venues across Washington State – the Washington Nightlife Music Association – to seek assistance from elected representatives.  Find out more about WaNMA.info (click here) and requests being made now to help bring the music back, state-wide and at the Center of the Universe!
