While some businesses may be opening as Governor Inslee cautiously relaxes the ‘Stay Home’ orders, Fremont’s nightclubs may be among the last to be allowed. Two of our most popular, successful clubs have teamed up with other nightclubs across Washington State, in the WA Nightclub Music Association, to seek assistance and consideration from the leadership in addressing COVID-19, and its impacts.
Fortunately, these two nightclubs, Nectar Lounge and High Dive, have been organizing virtual, on-line concerts that provide a place to play for local performers – and a way for us to enjoy the shows. All the nightclubs ask is for viewers to donate (suggested is $10) to the benefit of the bands, the club staff and the clubs.
This week, Nectar and High Dive scheduled more shows for May, including:
- Thursday, May 7th at 8p – The High Seagrass, this swashbuckling band of bluegrass marauders pickin’ and singin’ at sea level will play a well-curated selection of traditional and originals (click here to contribute, and find a link to the show)

These concerts will be live-streamed on the Nectar YouTube Channel (click here) and the High Dive Channel (click here.) All of the shows are ‘Pay-What-You-Will’ – which can be done through PayPal or EventBrite. Find the link to the EventBrite page on the Facebook Event pages.
Another way to support Nectar is by purchasing a Bar Gift Cards (click here,) for buying drinks once this renowned nightclub re-opens! Both clubs need our support as their openings get delayed until the transmission of COVID-19 can be avoided at larger gatherings. For now, live music can still be enjoyed through Virtual Concerts at High Dive and Nectar Lounge!
