On Tuesday, June 30th, from 5p – 6p, King County METRO and the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will host a virtual meeting on the METRO Route #40 Transit-Plus Multimodal Corridor project.

To increase the speed and reliability of Route #40 bus route, METRO and SDOT have been gathering input.  They’ve done a survey, in March, and compiled the answers from 1,000 respondents, along with information from METRO drivers on their experiences.

They found five priorities among that data, for improving Route #40:

  • Bus speed and reliability
  • Pedestrian and bicycle accessibility improvements as well as crossings
  • Keep cars and freight moving
  • Reducing traffic speed for safety reasons
  • Keep parking along the route
