The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) marks the start of summer with its legendary Solstice Parade, and the easing in of Autumn with its lesser-known but friendlier Luminata Lantern WalkIn 2020, Luminata has moved to a Zoom platform, for more social distancing but just as much lighted spectacle!

On Tuesday, October 10th, from 7:30p – 9p, the Luminata 2020 celebration will take place with lighted art, lanterns, costumes and all kinds of installations that brighten the evenings of autumn.

For 2020, the theme and focus is even more on sustainable art, and using what you have around the house, or the neighborhood, for creating art.  The FAC wants to encourage everyone to play with the idea of lighting and Luminata – and look around your environs for materials and opportunities for brightening your part of the community on October 10th.

The FAC hopes to host some free, on-line workshops for Luminata, between now and October 3rd.  Stay up-to-date on all things Luminata 2020 on the FAC website page (click here,) and on the Luminata Facebook event page (click here.)  Register, for free, to get the Zoom link to the October 10th Luminata event through Eventbrite (click here.)
