Due to COVID-19 cancellations and donation down-turns, the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) leadership has decided to vacate the outdoor storage yard it has been renting.
The Fremont Arts Council, an all-volunteer non-profit, produces several celebration arts events throughout the year, with the best-known being the Fremont Solstice Parade. The storage yard has been required for the FAC’s float bases, used to create the incredible, non-permanent art installations of the parade.
With the 2020 Solstice Parade done virtual, and the potential of an on-line 2021 parade as well, the float bases need long-term storage in a spare driveway or side-yard. Two FAC volunteers have stepped up to store some, but if you or someone you know has space, please let the FAC know.
Currently, the FAC has two truck storage containers on the yard and these will be moved or sold. If you have a need or a space for one or both containers, the FAC can be reached at volunteer@fremontartscouncil.org or 206-547-7440. Please help the FAC, and the Fremont community, maintain these resources for future Solstice Parades!
