Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day, and ballots need to be mailed, dropped or voted at a Voting Center, by 8p that night. For those planning to mail or drop the ballot they received in a Voting Ballot Drop Box, it is very important to plan ahead to avoid delays or impediments.
“The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by human beings for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison people because they are different from others.” – Martin Luther King Jr
For those who did not receive a ballot in the mail, or who need assistance, Washington State has established Voting Centers, with one nearby at the University of Washington. Those still not registered to vote can go to a Voting Center or the King County Election office right up to November 3rd to vote their ballot. “We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” – Thomas Jefferson
This General Election ballot includes a lot of important decisions nationally, state-wide, and regionally. While there are a lot of opinions out in the media, and among most everyone’s friends and family, the State also has an Online Voters’ Guide available for clarifying the issues and providing the candidate’s statements – at the Secretary Of State website (click here.)
“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.” – John F. Kennedy
Do not let this opportunity to vote, and take part in our democracy, by November 3rd!
