During the COVID-19 ‘normal’, The Barrel Thief has been focusing on food as well as fine spirits, and they have organized two delicious feasts at either end of the gourmet spectrum.
On Friday, November 13th, from 4p – 7p, the weekly Pop-Up will feature Comfort Food by Chef Hattie. Surely there is something for everyone:
- Fried Chicken & Waffles with caramelized onion & maple jam ($12)
- Three Cheese Mac & Cheese made with penne and topped with garlic breadcrumbs ($10)
- French Onion Soup served with slow-cooked, melted gruyere toast ($8)
- ‘Porcupine’ Meatballs made with beef & rice (or polenta,) and simmered in a red sauce ($12)
Turn your luck with this take-out dinner, and purchase some spirits from the Bottle Shop. There will be suggestions available for wine and cocktail pairings. Find the menu and more details on the Barrel Thief website (click here.)
In December, on Saturday the 5th, the Barrel Thief will host a special, small plate dinner paired with selected French brandies. Joan Harkins of Beauchamp Imports will present the Calvados, Cognac and Armagnac, and the fine 5-course meal is being prepared by Chef Hattie. As with other Barrel Thief events, tickets to the Spirit of French Brandy Dinner will sell out fast so purchase yours now. With seating even more limited due to spacing and the observation of COVID-19 safety, this dinner will fill up FAST! Get more details, and tickets, on Stranger Tickets (click here.)
In addition to serving up fine meals, the Barrel Thief is offering a safe, clean space for small holiday events this winter – for your company, organization, and/or extended family. For 15 to 25 people, have a wine or whiskey tasting, paired with dinner by Chef Hattie. With the entire cozy yet elegant environment of the Barrel Thief reserved by your party, keep things safe and festive for your holiday party. Find out more on BThief.com (click here.)
