At the next Fremont First Friday Art Walk, on November 7th from 6p – 9p, enjoy a community-wide celebration of art, demonstrated with a diversity of expressions, at a wide variety of venues.

At Hub And Bespoke, Fremont’s cycling wear boutique, starting at 6:50p, Galen Erickson will perform live and unplugged.  This talented musician (and Seattle cyclist) will perform some of his original works during Art Walk.

At Frame-Up Studios, artist Liz Neuman will display some of her beautifully executed block prints and etchings of birds during the Walk.  She will also be on-hand for those who want to meet the artist.  When Neuman talks about birds, her excitement becomes contagious as listeners get drawn into her wonderful tales.

At Art F/X, enjoy the photography of Peggy Curtis.  When Curtis walked into the gallery and showed the proprietors her work, all they could say was, ‘Wow!’  After 17 years in the art business, they’d seen a lot of photography but nothing that struck such a chord in their hearts.  With works in turn dramatic, romantic, quizzical and glowing, meet this artist during the Walk and get an early look at this emerging talent – on display through January 2015.

At Portage Bay Goods, the wildly popular and wickedly talented Justin Hillgrove returns with his imps and monsters.  With echoes of Maurice Sendak, Hillgrove creates original art that terrifies and delights, disgusts and intrigues, and most especially displays an undeniable creativity.  PBG will have his original art, prints, monster plush and more by Hillgrove on display during FFF – and all month long.

In addition to these four, find 10 other venues participating in Art Walk – including the new Schilling & Co. Cider House.  Pick up a guide to the participating venues during the Art Walk at Frame-Up, Art F/X, Portage Bay Goods and Fremont Jewelry Design – or check out the Fremont First Friday Art Walk on-line.  Hope to see you out Walk-ing!
