On Wednesday, October 14th, it is time for a favorite Fall event at The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar – a Rye Whiskey Tasting. From 6p – 8p, drop-in to sample one of the two tasting flights, for $5, or both for $10.
The basic tasting consists of rye whiskey from:
- Sazerac Rye
- Templeton
- Fremont Mischief
- Woodford Reserve
- High West Double Rye
- Rittenhouse 100 Proof
The premium tasting includes:
Learn to love this edgier, spicier cousin of Bourbon. Drier than Bourbon, and able to balance out sweet components of certain cocktails, Rye makes a great base for a mixed drink – but is also great on its own. In addition to tasting flights, on October 14th, the Barrel Thief will also offer special Rye drinks and barrel-aged Rye cocktails.
