Stone Soup Theatre has an Indiegogo campaign going to help cover its rent for the coming year, and keep the doors open to small, independent theater in Fremont! Please, can you give something today – and ask your friends and family to show how they value live stage performances?
Specializing in providing interesting and unusual short plays, at an affordable price for all, since 1996 Stone Soup has operated on Stone Way in an intimate space that not only provides a place for their productions but one they also rent to other, homeless theatrical companies (Play Factory, Arouet Productions, Sound Theatre, etc.) who bring more live, independent theater to Fremont. However, last month a new landlord took over the building and Stone Soup will be facing rent increases, and the possible need to relocate in the future.
Please, can you help by giving a few dollars to the Indiegogo campaign – and by spreading the word to friends and family about this opportunity to assist creative, theater in Fremont? The works of Dylan Thomas, Tennesee Williams, A.A. Milne, Harold Pinter, Thornton Wilder, Neil Simon, Sam Shepard, Tom Stoppard, Athol Fugard, and dozens of local, and emerging, playwrights, have delighted and challenged audiences at The DownStage. You can help keep alive live theater on Stone Way. Won’t you, please?
