A Meet the Candidates Opportunity with the Maritime Industry

The Fremont Chamber is inviting everyone interested in getting to know our future leaders to this outdoor event! Image provided by the Fremont Chamber

On Wednesday, September 15th, from 4:30p – 6p, a Meet-The-Candidates Happy Hour gathering will take place out-of-doors at the Pacific Fisherman Shipyard in Ballard, with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce encouraging everyone to come and meet some of tomorrow’s potential leaders.  A meeting fee is being charged on $30 per person.

In November, Seattle-area voters have important decisions to make as they vote for a new Seattle Mayor, two at-large Seattle City Councilmembers, Seattle City Attorney and Port of Seattle Commissioners.  Over the last two years, the need for quality, capable leaders has become even more apparent, and Seattle voters need to consider these opportunities carefully.

Come meet the candidates, inside the gates of the Pacific Fisherman Shipyard.  Meet our neighbors who keep our waterways viable and safe – and help them decide who would be best to speak on behalf of Fremont and Ballard interests in our city.  Sponsoring organizations of this event include:  The Ballard Alliance, the North Seattle Industrial Association, Northwest Marine Trade Association, Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, Seattle Maritime Business Coalition, the Seattle Propeller Club, and the Washington Maritime Federation.

Due to the current higher transmission levels of COVID-19, only those who have been vaccinated against the virus – and can provide proof of vaccination – will be allowed to attend this gathering.  Please RSVP on-line (click here,) and plan to provide proof of vaccination at the event.

The Fremont Chamber can accept payment of the $30 meeting fee on-line (click here,) or contact the Chamber to find out about a Promo Code if the entry cost is prohibitive.
