A Memorial Day Word of Gratitude

On this 2011 Memorial Day, the Fremocentrist would like to take a moment to say ‘Thank You!’ to the generous men and women who give of their time and talent (and, unfortunately, sometimes their lives) to serve in our military.

At the National World War II Memorial, in Washington, D.C., a group of visiting veterans once wore t-shirts that carried the sentiment, “If you can read this, thank a teacher.  If you can read this in English, thank a veteran.”

Another word of thanks – and sympathy – for all the friends and family, especially spouses, parents and children, who have lost someone who went to fight for our country.

Thank you all for your sacrifice!
