The Fremont Neighborhood Council Board of Directors has sent out a notice reminding Fremont residents, and those interested in supporting advocacy for residential concerns, that it is time to join up – again or for the first time.
Join or renew on-line. The Fremont Neighborhood Council has been representing neighbors here since the 1970s, and today the entirely volunteer organization continues to work to ensure Fremont remains safe and vibrant. In 2013, they have:
- Supported the B.F. Day Playground Installation, providing much-needed improvement for neighborhood families.
- Worked with Urban ArtWorks, and artist Kyler Martz, to cover over several graffiti-tagged utility boxes in Fremont with fresh and whimsical art.
- Provided recommendations to Sound Transit and the Seattle Department of Transportation regarding the Ballard Transit Study.
- Advocated for pedestrian safety at intersections on Stone Way and Fremont Avenue N.
- Sparked the donation of household items to help new neighbors at Catholic Community Service’s new low-income Patrick Place apartments.
The Fremont Neighborhood Council also maintains communication and reports on community activity through its website and Facebook page.
Join today to help this organization in its work to enhance, preserve and improve this neighborhood. Current dues are:
- Individual: $12
- Household: $20
- Angel: $50
- Senior/Low Income: $7
Renew, or join, today by visiting the membership page on the Fremont Neighborhood Council website. And thank you for supporting our residential representative organization!
