Come help with this clean-up on Sunday, April 28th, from Ballard to Stone Way.

On Sunday, April 28th, from 11:30a – 2p, ‘Clean Up The Burke’ will take place from the Ballard Bridge to the foot of Stone Way, and MiiR.  Hosted by Washington Wild, this clean-up is another Earth Month activity – like the Trail Clean-Up scheduled by Eco Collective on the day before.

This is the first-ever Earth Day Community Clean-Up for Washington Wild, and it will give both the Burke-Gilman Trail and the Ballard Bridge some much needed TLC.  Launched from Peddler Brewing, at 15th Ave NW & Leary Way, Washington Wild will distribute Seattle Public Utilities cleaning materials and directing cleaning teams to sites that need the most attention.

Washington Wild will also have staff located along the Trail to answer questions and pick-up full trash bags.  The clean-up will conclude at the MiiR Flagship Store, with a raffle giveaway and a chance to sample a specially crafted brew, created by Peddler, Bad Jimmy’s Brewing and Rooftop Brewing Company.

The first 60 volunteers to pre-register for this Trail Clean-Up will receive a MiiR Bottle.  Every participant will receive a punch card for discounts at participating brew pubs.  Also, Hot Cakes cookies and drinks will be available during the clean-up.

Volunteers are asked to pre-register – to guarantee enough cookies and cleaning gear – and to wear closed-toed shoes.  Pre-register on the Washington Wild website (click here,) or find the Facebook Event page.
