This Friday, August 7th, from 6p – 9p, check out a variety of art, and artists, at the monthly Fremont First Friday Art Walk. As always, get the most complete list of participating venues by checking the Fremont Art Walk website – or picking up a handout at one of these participating locations:
- Portage Bay Goods will be showing pieces from Little Orange Room. The t-shirts and onesies, designed by Anne-Lise Hurn, have been on display in the PBG window this summer but for the Art Walk, check out her hand-screened prints and incredible quilting craftsmanship.
- Frame Up Studios will have the iconic photos of Shawn Nichols, that capture Seattle and its familiar scenes in a whole new light. These captivating photographs may make you rethink your relationship with our wonderful city.
- West Of Lenin will have a whole new show of art by Steffanie Lorig, with paintings and collage work. Lorig turns chaos into order in her collage work, and channels inspiration into imagination in her paintings. For the Art Walk, Lorig’s pieces will be accompanied by the award-winning musical duo of Diamondwolf – all taking place before a very special evening of improv humor by Smitty & Miles in the theater. Tickets can still be purchased for the comedy show.
The Fremont First Friday Art Walk is, as always, a free, all ages event. Find out more on the FFF website, or by taking an evening out to stroll the ‘hood and see the art! Hope to see you there!!
