Over the weekend of September 3rd & 4th, Salsa Con Todo welcomes back Charlene Rose for some sexy Salsa styling & technique workshops. These workshops offer opportunities for instruction for all levels of dancers. Learn about dancing Salsa, with Afro/Cuban, Mambo and Son flavors. Rose will also be offering a special class in burlesque for ladies only!
Each class can be taken individually, or register for the whole weekend for $100. Check out these offerings:
- Styling Basics (Sat, Sep 3rd, from Noon – 1p) learn to refine and add style your basic Salsa step. Learn proper Latin motion and body movement, proper usage of the arms, and styling options for both the arms and feet.
- Flavor Invasion & Partnering for Salsa (Sat, Sep 3rd, from 1p – 2p) feeling a little stiff? Add more body motion to your Salsa dancing! Get a breakdown of basic Latin body movement and steps of Afro-Cuban, Pachanga, Mambo, and Son while learning simple yet stylish ways to add them to your partner dancing, for leads and follows.
- Latin Jazz (Sat, Sep 3rd, from 2p – 3p) learn a fun combo that blends some of the Latin rhythms and techniques of Salsa/Mambo, Afro-Cuban, Cha-cha, etc. with modern jazz and contemporary styles. (No jazz experience necessary.)
- Afro-Cuban Shines (Sun, Sep 4th, from Noon – 1:30p) this very earthy dance, originating from Cuba, ranges from very slow to very fast rhythms. This class will ground students in the fundamentals, but also incorporate popular Afro-Cuban steps that give that extra edge on the dance floor. This class will get hearts pumping and bodies working!
- Burlesque: The Art Of Tease (Sun, Sep 4th, from 1:30p – 3p) For Ladies Only, this class will help with spicing things up behind closed doors, as well as adding sensual body motion and steps to your Salsa, bachata or zouk dancing. Gain confidence and body awareness by learning a sexy burlesque-inspired routine complete with flirtatious body movements, seductive struts and come-hither head whips!
