This weekend at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, audiences have two opportunities to enjoy ‘Abbey Grown: A Locally Sourced Dance & Music Performance’ on March 28th & 29th at 8p. This collaborative, home-grown show will feature the impressive talents of several artists – of dance, music, and visual arts – familiar to Fremont Abbey followers, and worth a look by those new to the Top Of The Universe arts center.
Featuring choreographers Victoria McConnell, Kimberley Holloway, and Cabin Fever’s Elana Jacobs and Doug Barber, with live music by Pepper Proud and Julia Massey & The Five Finger Discount, and an interactive art installation by Charlotte Rodenberg and Josh Rodenberg, the evening promises a multi-faceted cultural experience. Blurring the lines between a dance performance, music concert and art gallery show, ‘Abbey Grown’ is a gathering of artistic genres for a unique evening of artistic synergy and immersive performance.
Made possible, in part, by grants from the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and the Fremont Chamber Of Commerce, tickets to ‘Abbey Grown’ cost $12 advance/$15 at the door. Purchase your tickets in advance through Brown Paper Tickets, and find out more about this event through the Facebook page.
