Plenty of family fun going on in Fremont this holiday season, with shows at both Stone Soup (A Child’s Christmas In Wales) and Hale’s Palladium (Red Riding Hood & The 3 Little Pigs), plus the Dance Fremont performance of Steadfast Tin Soldier going on this weekend. Yet, adults can also enjoy a few added opportunites – after the kids get settled down elsewhere.
On Saturday, December 11, Show Pony (702 N 35th) will hold a trunk show from Noon – 6p, featuring the jewelry of Lauren Harkness, handmade aromatherapy soaps and perfumes by Pirouette, and handknits by ScarfCity. As with all trunk shows, expect there to be nibbles and wine on hand – as well as 10% off store merchandise.
Then, stroll over to Bellefleur Lingerie (3504 Fremont Pl N) for an adults-only fashion show and holiday bash going on from 6p – 8p. With treats to nosh, cocktails to sip and a DJ spinning tunes, this evening has everything a party needs, plus a show at 7p that features the fashion of Bellefleur, the jewelry of Fremont Jewelry Design and an erotic performance by Madame Rex. Finally, those who spend over $100 will be entered in a drawing for a Naughty or Nice gift package.
Fremont always offers a great shopping alternative to getting mall-ed or fighting the way Downtown. On Thursday, December 9th, it will be an even better idea when these stores, and many others, will stay open late – until 8p – and donate proceeds from that evening’s sales to great causes, including the B.F. Day Elementary After School program. Shop local, shop Fremont – and have fun doing it!
