On Monday, March 3rd, at 5p, the Lake Union District Council (LUDC) will meet to catch up on current events and news from the neighborhoods that surround Seattle’s working lake, as well as the City Neighborhood Council and the City of Seattle. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings, which take place in the conference room of History House.
According to the agenda sent out by City Of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods District Coordinator Tim Durkan, the meeting will also include a report by Tyson Lin of Seattle City Light on the agency’s Strategic Plan. The LUDC will also be voting on projects submitted to the City for the Neighborhood Parks & Streets Fund at an upcoming meeting. On March 3rd, the LUDC representatives will get a first look at the project applications, and begin discussion of those being considered for this district.
Community organizations around Lake Union send representatives to the LUDC, and those recognized representatives are eligible to vote on matters brought before this body. However, LUDC meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to come learn more on March 3rd. For more information, consider contacting District Coordinator Durkan at tim.durkan@seattle.gov or 206/684-4054.
