All Fremont Residents May Want To Attend The Next Neighborhood Council Meeting

The FNC offers residents a place to raise concerns and get answers.

On Monday, March 28th, from 7p – 8:30p, the Fremont Neighborhood Council (FNC) will hold its monthly meeting, at Doric Lodge #92, with presentations by two important City representatives, and updates on area issues.

District #4 Seattle City Councilmember Rob Johnson, who represents Fremont east of the Aurora Bridge, will speak at this meeting.  Councilmember Johnson is chairperson of the Council’s Planning, Land Use & Zoning Committee, has extensive experience in transit advocacy and supported the recent bike share bailout.  Come talk with him about residential concerns, in District #4 and city-wide, and ask your questions.

Also in attendance will be members of the Seattle Parks & Recreation Department, sharing updates on improvements to Troll’s Knoll Park – and efforts to develop the extension to the Slippery Slope (Ernst) Park next to the Fremont Branch Library.  Come meet them, and the new volunteer maintaining the FNC website.  Hear a follow-up report from FNC members on the affordable housing/HALA efforts.

The FNC advocates and supports the residents of our community.  Come find out more about how to help, or bring your own concerns.  On April 25th, the FNC will hold its Annual Membership Meeting, but now might be the best time to get involved and active in this open organization.
