On Sunday, Nov 25th, at 2p, the Fremont Branch of Seattle Public Library will host, with the Fremont Historical Society and the Queen Anne Historical Society, co-authors Paul Dorpat and Jean Sherrard for the release of their latest book, Seattle Now & Then: The Historic Hundred.
Historian Dorpat and photographer Sherrard have created epic columns for The Seattle Times. They’ve just released this coffee table book showcasing the most compelling and essential pieces of the Sunday paper series.
Come hear the pair speak, live, about their work, as they discuss the ‘Now & Then’ series in an illustrated presentation. Between Dorpat’s encyclopedic knowledge of Seattle history, and Sherrard’s accompanying explanatory images, these authors will give a compelling and enlightening glimpse into the history of our area.
This is a free presentation, open to everyone, although the meeting room in the Fremont Branch Library has limited seating and this event will be first come, first seated. Also, copies of Seattle Then And Now: The Historic Hundred will be for sale, through Globe Books, for personal inscriptions by Sherrard and Dorpat at this live discussion.
