The month of June is a month of celebration in Fremont, and the Fremont First Friday (FFF) Art Walk is a great kick-off to all our festivities!  On Friday, June 7th, from 6p – 9p, stroll the Center of the Universe for a look at original art, and Fremont Fair posters, and a fundraiser for the Fremont Solstice Parade!

During the FFF, Esters Enoteca will host a special night of art, by Parade contributor Sarah Lovett, and live music, by Choroloco and Blue Lines.  Enjoy food and drink specials, and meeting Parade artists – and consider giving a donation to the Fremont Arts Council’s Green Hat, to help fund the 2019 Parade – coming June 22nd at 1p.

Before (or after) stopping by Esters, make sure you check out the rest of the FFF offerings this month, especially:

  • Down Under Gallery – Check out original paintings by Eric Esteb, from his series ‘Dualities’.  An accomplished choreographer, filmmaker, and performer, of the aerial team of Duo Reves, Esteb has only just begun showing his visual art.  Stop by to see Esteb’s pieces, and talk to Fremont events photographer, Michelle Bates, as she hosts the gallery Art Walk tonight.  Learn about her incredible history with the Solstice Parade, Moisture Festival, Cirque de Flambé, etc.

  • Frame Up Studios – Stop by the longest-running retailer at the Center of the Universe, to see a history of Fremont Fair posters with their annual retrospective.  In addition to exploring a history of Fair art and Solstice celebratory posters, be among the first to see the framed 2019 Fremont Fair poster, by Kyler Martz.  Purchase your own copy too, if you want one to keep!

The Fremont First Friday Art Walk is a great way to get an evening of culture, exploration and meeting artists, all for free!  Visit the FFF website (click here) for the up-to-date list of participating venues, and make sure you stroll them all!
