On Monday, October 5th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library will host a free, literary evening of poetry reading, and interaction with published, local poets.
In partnership with Floating Bridge Press, the Fremont Branch will host this ‘Evening of Poetry,’ with readings by poets:
- Linda Malnack, who lives in Normandy Park, has published pieces in magazines Blackbird, Crab Creek Review, Willow Springs and The Nassau Review. She also serves as co-editor for the poetry journal ‘Switched-on Guttenberg.’
- Martha Silando, author of four books of poetry including the award-winning publications ‘The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception’ and ‘Reckless Lovely,’ has also had poems published in other magazines and collections. Silando also teaches at Bellevue College and edits Crab Creek Review.
- Kay Mullen recently edited ‘Women Writing: On the Edge of Dark and Light’, an anthology of works written by Tacoma-area poets. Her own poetry has appeared in various poetry journals and anthologies, along with the three poetry books she has authored.
After the readings, attendees will be able to ask questions and discuss the works of these three modern-day poets. Books of poetry works will be available for purchase at this event.
