On July 5th, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk returns to fill our community with an opportunity to stroll and be inspired by the creativity and vision of a variety of artists.
Check the Fremont First Friday website, recently restored, to find out about the wonderful venues participating in July. Make sure, while out and about, to stop by:
- Portage Bay Goods – Meet the artist, from Ballard, making cheeky word art on cards, stickers and more. Demian Johnston creates Pacific Northwest related art, and the folks at PBG will have his prints on display – as well as beverages and treats to share. Stop by and see what all the fuss is about!
- Frame Up Studio – View the vibrant, bold colors of the paintings of John Hunter, a self-taught, Seattle-based artist. Hunter’s objective is to create art that feels alive, and he imbues his pieces with an undeniable sense of movement. Come see the images he’s created, and the stories he tells with his art.
- Down Under Gallery – While this venue, located below Fremont Wish Boutique, is currently in-between featured artists, they do have pieces by four Fremont-based artists: Jose Benevides, Rodman Gilder Miller, Michelle Bates and Adrian Laney. Also, Fremont iconologist, Kirby Laney, will be on-hand to answer questions about the Center of the Universe – or take suggestions for future stories.
Finally, the Gallery will give the first 30 visitors, who ask, a free gift just for stopping by during the Fremont First Friday Art Walk of July.
This monthly show switches venues and participants, but it always offers an evening of art and inspiration. Find out about which venues are showing what artists this month at Fremont First Friday.com (click here.)
