This Friday, October 2nd, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk brings color and activity to an otherwise dreary autumn evening. Consider taking a stroll among the art, and venues, of Fremont, and enjoy the culture and inspiration offered, for free, at this monthly event.
Find the list of venues on the Fremont First Friday website, but be sure to check out:
- Portage Bay Goods – the quirky gift shop will be showing the whimsical wood burn art work of Chelsea Desforges. This Tacoma artist burns her images onto wood, then layers acrylic and watercolor paint onto the piece to create a vibrant, yet natural, piece of art.
- Frame-Up Studios – the iconic Fremont store will have an exciting group show for visitors this Friday, with art by visionary artists Stasia Burrington and Amber Rothrock. Explore the bright paintings of Burrington and the inspired, and unusual, frames of Rothrock, among the rest of the art always on display in the frame shop.
Stop by these and other art venues, including Pel’meni Dumpling Tzar, Fremont Jewelry Design, and Art F/X, to lend light to your autumn evening. View the list of Fremont First Friday venues on the website, and stop by to see one or all of the artists this month!
