Annual Bastille Day Bike Ride, Picnic & Pétanque On July 12th

HubAndBespokeJul14_cm-2014-blog-graphic-w-logo1On Saturday, July 12th, from 11a – 2p, join in the “C’est Magnifique!” Bastille Day bike ride and picnic with friends from Hub And Bespoke.  Take a short, relaxed ride through town, dressed in your best, French-inspired outfit, purchase your picnic items from select shops along the route, and then find feast and fellowship at South Lake Union Park.

This year, also enjoy a few games of pétanque during the picnic.  Pétanque is a casual lawn game, similar to bocce, where players take turns throwing metal balls, or boules, at a target called a cochonnet.  A group of regular pétanque players meet at Lake Union Park each weekend, and they will be on-hand to teach newcomers how to play.

The ride is free, but – trés important – bring cash to purchase your own picnic items.  Also, check out photos on the Hub And Bespoke blog to get inspiration on your French attire – and to find answers to any questions.
