In early 2016, the Sound Transit Link Light Rail will connect Capitol Hill and the University District with Downtown Seattle, the Rainier Valley and Sea-Tac Airport. King County METRO Transit has proposed changes to its service to improve, and streamline, our mobility options.
Route changes are proposed to 32 METRO bus routes, including the majority of those that serve Fremont – the 16, 26, 28, 31, 32, and 44. METRO Transit Planner Ted Day explains about the proposal, and what went into making the decisions about these changes, on four videos. These are about:
- Northeast Seattle all day service (video)
- Northeast Seattle high frequency service (video)
- Northeast Seattle east-west service (video)
- Capitol Hill (video)
Please watch the videos, and weigh in on these proposed changes – and how they would affect your use of transit service. Input on this survey can help shape the recommendations to the King County Council and the Sound Transit Board of Directors.
Please complete the on-line survey by May 31st, at http://metro.kingcounty.gov/programs-projects/link-connections/have-a-say.html Another option is attending one of the public outreach events, including the Fremont Neighborhood Council meeting on May 18th at 7p at Doric Lodge #92.
