April’s Art Walk of Fremont

This Friday, April 1st, from 6p – 9p, is the Fremont First Friday Art Walk – seriously!  Fremont’s Art Walk continues to grow in venues, artists and offerings of entertainment and refreshments.  If you haven’t been, this is the evening to check it out – and if you have been, don’t joke around this month and miss the chance to Walk!

The 509 Winery & Tasting Room will have photography by Kieran Jendro on display, plus music by Casey MacGill’s Blue 4 Trio and food by Fusion on the Run.  Fremont Brewing Co. will feature the woodblock, Intaglio and monotype prints by Matthew Himmelspach, and Kylie’s Chicago Style Pizza has mixed media paintings by Jesse Link.  All three venues offer something extra special in the way of refreshments, for a break from walking.

To the far east, Johnston Architects (at 100 NE Northlake Way, Suite 200) will show new works in glass, graphite and assemblage by Laurie Kain.  To the west, visit the EVO Timesinfinity Gallery, and see the photography of Clark Little.

This month check out venues new to the Fremont Art Walk including Dragonfly Holistic Healing (featuring the photography of Dean Wenick,) Urban Earth Nursery (photography by Lee Hendrickson,) Pel’meni Dumpling Tzar (photography of Bala Dodoye-Alali) and Fremont Coffee Company (with works by eight emerging artists – photography by eight 10 – 13 year olds – curated by Elma Creative Arts Studio.)

And, as always, depend upon Art FX (with watercolors and baskets by Karen Kaushansky,) Fremont Jewelry Design (paintings and mixed media works by Kree Arvanitas,) Hub & Bespoke (encaustic paintings by Emily Alice Peck,) and Gallery NoteBleu (acrylic paintings by Suzy Clarke) to show art during every Walk, in every season, for every reason.

To find out more about the artists, the venues, and the latest on what to find at the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, always check in with the website.  Also, while out-and-about, look for the new postcards/maps that show the way from one to every venue!
