Lots of things to see and do at the 2012 Fremont Fair – for free!  Consider enticing friends, family and customers to come for a visit, and a stroll through the fairgrounds June 15th – 17th for any one of these experiences:

Arts & Crafts Shopping:  Over 300 booths to stroll and scope out along the streets of N 34th & N 35th, all filled with original arts and crafts, imports, opportunities to tie dye a t-shirt or get a henna tattoo.

Fremont Abbey Arts for All: Grow your brain on the arts at the Abbey’s temporary Downtown Fremont location.  Activities include a growing brain sculpture, chalk art, music makers, art-cycle, and paint with your food.  Plus, live performers and bands on the Fremont Abbey Stage!

Seattle Art Car Blowout: See more than 50 funky decorated art cars on display in the Burke Building parking lot (35th and Evanston). Cars travel from across the country to create one of the largest Art Car gatherings in the world!

The Seattle Art Car Blowout takes place at the Fremont Fair - a FREE display of over 60 art cars - but also see the cars as most were designed to be seen, in motion. Here seen during the Sunday Morning Cruise, near Seattle Center. Photo by K. Lindsay, Jun '11

Also, this year, the Art Cars invade Ballard during the Sunday Morning Cruise.  See them at Sunset Hill Park, at 7531 – 34th Ave NW, on Sunday, June 17th at 10:30a (approx. time,) in motion, as they were designed to be seen.  The cars will also buzz the Ballard Sunday Market, on Shilshole Ave, before triumphantly returning to Fremont.  Bring your cameras!

Fremont Arts Council Solstice Parade:  The 24th Annual Fremont Solstice Parade takes place on Saturday, June 16th at noon – it’s a crowd pleaser!

Yoga for the Solstice: Planet Earth Yoga brings the art of yoga to the streets of the Fair. Grab your mat and salute the sun in celebration of the solstice with a hatha yoga practice on Sunday, June 17th at 10:30am.

Dads & Dogs Day – Dog Parade:  Fairgoers and their four-legged friends will parade on Sunday, June 17th at 2:30pm in a fun pup procession.  Bring your puppy in creative costume, or let your dog strut his or her stuff au natural.

The entire Fremont Fair, as always, remains free and open-to-the-public.

This year, the Fair producers have added a Friday Night Pre-Party with live music on the Redhook Brewery Main Stage from 4:00pm to 11:00pm on June 15th.
