On Sunday, March 23rd, from 10a – Noon, at Nalanda West, Mitra Karl Brunnholzl will give the Dharma Teaching on ‘The Ultimate Refuge – How Buddha Nature Manifests As The Three Jewels.’
Originally trained as a physician, Mitra Karl took Buddhist refuge vows in 1984. In 1990, he completed a five-year training in higher Buddhist philosophy at Kamalashila Institute, Germany, receiving the title of ‘dharma tutor.’ Beginning in 1988, Mitra has received Buddhist and Tibetan language training, and he has also studied Tibetology, Buddhology, and Sanskrit. Since 1999, Mitra Karl has acted as one of the main translators and teachers at Nalandabodhi and the Nitartha Institute.
As the author of several books on Buddhism, published by Snow Lion Publications, Mitra Karl can speak with some authority on Buddha Nature and the Ultimate Refuge. Come hear this engaging and educated speaker on Sunday, at Nalanda West.
