B.F. Day Serves Meals As A Food Distribution Site – At NO COST

For many of our young people, being out-of-school, studying on-line, means missing out on meals, and in some cases, a primary source of nutrition.

At B.F. Day Elementary School, all students and/or families can pick-up free breakfast and/or lunch during the week from 11:15a to 1:15p.  The meals are available to all Seattle Public School students, and available for pickup at the B.F. Day gym door – near the south parking lot, and nearest the intersection on N 39th St & Linden Ave N.

These re-heatable meals are prepared by FareStart, and can be picked up Mondays – Fridays.  On Fridays, weekend food can be picked-up, as provided by Backpack Brigade and Food for Schools.

Lunch is available to those wearing masks and maintaining a social distance.  Menus and information on bus routes to all schools providing meals can be found on the B.F. Day website (click here.)

If you know a child in need of free meals at this time, or a family struggling with the privations created by COVID-19, please let them know of this available resource.
